Sue Elizabeth Anne Kent, RN, PNSA, attended Southern Cross University, School of Health and Human Sciences in East Lismore, NSW, Australia, and was awarded a graduate certificate in nursing in 2002. She trained at Central Gippsland Hospital in Traralgon, Australia. Sue is a professional member of the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation, the Queensland Nurses Union, and the Australian College of Nursing. She was honored with the Best Clinical Nurse Award from a Training Program at Queen Victoria Hospital and enjoys reading all major nursing publications, journals, and research. Sue feels that her success is attributable to being person-focused and compassionate, having good communication skills with surgical teams and surgeons, constant learning, and implementation of evidence-based best practices. When she is not assisting patients with their healthcare needs, Sue dedicates to horseback riding, driving, beach walking, reading, and working out, her favorite activities outside the nursing profession.
